Hoot 15

TISA kinder, first, second, third and staff swept away the audience at this year's NDI show, Imagine the Possibilities. Thank you all for giving your best and sharing your photos! Look out NDI, we will be back on stage in third grade!

We are four days away from winter break!

Please check out this week's festivities and let me know if you are interested in joining us.
Monday, 11:45-1:30 Festive craft and scavenger hunt at Twirl
Monday 2:30 Student of the Month celebration on Manzanares playground
This months awards go to TESSA SCRAM and SANTIAGO SERGIO CARDENAS. Congratulations!
Tuesday, 8:30-4:00 The most fantastic gift I could think of is a full day field trip to Santa Fe. First (10:30-12:00) we will have a tour and a studio activity in the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Then, after lunch we will also visit the New Mexico Museum of Art before we return. Please prepare for a late pick-up (4pm) that day.
Wednesday morning: snow globe imagination station with Jen, Milo's mom!
Thursday morning from 10:30 to 12:30: Xmas Xtravaganza. Children will be in mixed age groups participating in festivities in each class room.
Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 Kinder Christmas Party
Thursday TAOS FEEDS TAOS donations will be picked up. The children are super eager to contribute (so far we had pickles, cheese sticks and granola bars offered from various lunch boxes).

Help needed this week!
Two chaperones for Santa Fe (Tuesday)
Volunteers for Xmas Xtravaganza (Thursday morning)
Christmas Carolers/Musicians (on Thursday)
Favorite kids' movies on DVD (Thursday)

Thank you, wonderful parents, for stocking our treasure chest!

The children will be bringing home word family readers that are appropriate to their current reading level. Please encourage your children to show off their reading prowess to friends, relatives, Santa and his elves during the holidays.

See you back on January 2, 2017!

(As the Governing Council decided, TISA’s Winter Break did not change. It is from 12/16-12/30. We are returning to school on Monday, January 2nd. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused and thank you for your continued support and patience.)

We have been collecting for TISA Feeds Taos / Taos Feeds Taos community food drive. This is TISA's fourth year collecting for Taos Feeds Taos and we are proud of the large amounts of non-perishables our little school has gathered and shared with our community. As always we will have a contest, the classroom that collects the most wins an ice cream party. Please drop off any non-perishable items in the Taos Feeds Taos box in the kindergarten room to help us make this the best collection ever.  Please ask your child for their list of much needed food items.
